Manufacturing goods involves, among other things, using energy. And so as a company, we use a fair amount of electricity, natural gas and fuel oil. And yes, by doing so, there is no doubt that we are contributing towards global warming: using energy leads to CO2 emissions.
So either we have to go in quest of an energy-free production process, or we have to seek out a source of energy without any CO2 emissions or waste products. Sustainable energy.
We are still a long way from that, but we have already taken a step in the right direction. Since the start of this year all the electricity we use is green.
The electricity that comes from the sockets in our plants, offices, show rooms, design departments, etc. does not impact on the environment. Zero CO2.
That is doing the right thing. We think that’s normal. Economic growth without ecological damage.
But we can certainly do better. We realise that there is still work to be done. So every day we are looking for sustainable solutions for heating buildings, mastering every form of energy consumption, using sustainable means of transport, and preventing every form of waste.
